What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?
Watching my big cousin play with the big boys and playing and watching football around the house that made me grow a passion for it
What are your favorite moments from your football life?
It’s the grind, I like tight 4th quarter games up by 2 going on defense to stop a field goal getting a 3 and out or a stop.
What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?
I want to be able to be on a NFL roster and contribute at the highest level and play ball.
If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?
I’d like to hang around Ray Lewis just being able to watch the way he played and talked I’d love to take in some knowledge about the way he played football from him.
Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?
My dad, I’ve seen my dad get up a 4-4:30 in the morning with 6 kids and never complained and went to work and handled business and that inspired me because in life that’s what you have to do.
What is your favorite defensive scheme and why?
Honestly I’m one of those guys who likes every scheme and can play in every scheme but if I had to pick 4-2-5 because I’m an interchangeable guy and can play just about everywhere.
What should we know about Santrell Latham the person?
I’m a hard working guy but I’m outgoing and love meeting new people and I got this slogan “Just keep smiling”.
What stands out about your film the most?
Honestly I’m a hard hitter and everywhere that ball is I’m around it and if I get close enough I’m going to make the play to get the sack, tackle or that ball out.
How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?
Just with tedious work and if you keep working you will get through it.
What would a team get in a player like you?
They would get a guy who comes to work everyday and does everything right even if it isn’t right and attack every day with a mindset of got to go get it.
What do you love the most about the game of football?
Honestly I like the build up to the game like the play coach ran in practice. I like the preparation for the game.
Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?
Averie Habas, and he’s not the tallest guy but he will hit you. He’s a wardad if I was in a dark alley with just him going up against 100 men I’d take that.
