Player Summary:
A fourth-year senior, enrolled at UTSA in 2019.
Lengthy build with exceptional height and weight, clearly has put on muscle. Built, long arms on top of a lot of length through his core and through his legs. Legs are lengthy and athletically built, like an Olympic runner.
Aligns and starts primarily at left outside WR (1,266 total, 742 passing snaps), but has seen 65 snaps in the slot. Has totalled 244 special teams snaps.
PHYSICALITY: Large frame, big bodied at all angles. Comes with a lot of durability, being able to beat receivers physically. Reliable, strong and big hands. Immense deep threat. Does a good job getting up and catching contested high balls. Exceptional concentration before and after the catch. Exceptional vertical elevation, plays the top well. Good ball protection, pulls it in and secures extra gain. Go-to, big, optimal target inside the numbers or in a scramble drill situation. Good, strong first step. Can move laterally at a sufficient enough level, creates space for YAC. Optimal on the boundary, can beat most defenders north-south and on longer routes. Good job pushing the sideline. Must polish what is a rather raw route tree. Breaks aren’t as sharp as you’d like. Drops a gear when looking for the deep ball. Needs to expand his release package. Blocks well down the field, does just enough to give the ball carrier the edge.
Scheme Fit:
Outside receiver in a spread offense
Power Statement:
He’s got the size, physicality, and deep ball threat to make an immediate impact on most NFL offenses. Should he clean up his route tree, the strong-handed big body could become a reliable target for a long time.
