Top NCAA Division 2 Football Matchups of Week 4

Harding University at Ouachita Baptist University 

This is a must watch division 2 matchup. The Tigers offense has senior running back TJ Cole who has 489 rushing yards and 5 touchdowns in the 2022 season. Defensively for Harding they have junior defensive lineman Nathaniel Wallace who has 10 tackles, 3.5 TFLs and 3 sacks this season. The Bison offense has sophomore running back Will Fitzhugh who has 184 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns in the 2022 season. Defensively for Ouachita Baptist they have sophomore defensive back Trey Proctor who has 11 tackles and 2 interceptions this season. 

Virginia Union University at Fayetteville State University 

Very intriguing Division 2 Football HBCU matchup. Devin Cowan junior defensive lineman leads the Broncos defense with 17 tackles, 5.5 TFLs and 3 sacks this season. The Virginia Union offense has sophomore running back Jada Byers who has torn up defenses this season who had 616 rushing yards and 6 touchdowns in the first 3 games. For the Panthers defense they have junior defensive lineman Devin Sanders who has 12 tackles, 3 TFLs and 3 sacks this season. 

Delta State University at University of West Florida 

This could be a test for West Florida. The Argos offense has junior running back Shomari Mason who has 148 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns in 2022. Defensively for Delta State they have sophomore linebacker Demario Martin who had 11 tackles, 4.5 TFLs and 3 sacks in the first 3 games. The Statesmen offense has senior wide receiver Dohnte Meyers who has 238 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns this season. Junior linebacker Willie Jordan has 7 tackles and 1 interception in 2022 for West Florida’s defense in the 2022 season.

University of West Georgia at University of West Alabama 

So the last matchup was a GSC matchup this is another very intriguing GSC matchup too. West Alabama’s offense has junior wide receiver John Hilbert who had 222 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns in the first 3 games. The Wolves defense has junior defensive lineman Malcolm Mercer who has 11 tackles, 2.5 TFLs and 2.5 sacks this season. Offensively for West Georgia they have sophomore wide receiver Za’Tarious Anderson who had 162 receiving yards and 1 touchdown in the first 2 games . Defensively for the Tigers they have grad linebacker Michael Anderson who has 22 tackles, 6.5 TFLs and 3 sacks this season. 

Mercyhurst University at Indiana University of Pennsylvania 

Lakers at the Hawks in this one. IUP is led offensively by redshirt senior wide receiver Duane Brown who has 367 receiving yards and 1 touchdown this season. Defensively for Mercyhurst they have grad linebacker Jacob Hull who has 28 tackles, 3.5 TFLs and 2 interceptions in 2022. The Lakers offense has sophomore running back David Alize who has 252 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns this season. Defensively for the Hawks they have senior defensive back Naszhir Taylor who had 7 tackles and 2 PBUs in the first 2 games.
