Colts owner Jim Irsay paid 6.18 million dollars for Muhammad Ali’s WBC Rumble In the Jungle Championship Belt
I don’t know what it would be like to have a ton of money, but Jim Irsay makes it look fun sometimes. Most of us have a few autographs in our man cave, but Jim Irsay goes for the gusto.
This weekend it was reported that the Colts owner dropped 6.18 million dollars for a rare piece of Muhammad Ali memorabilia – his WBC championship belt from the famous “Rumble in the Jungle” fight with George Foreman. The belt itself is nearly 50 years old, having been won by Ali when he defeated Foreman on Oct. 30, 1974.
Irsay flexed on Twitter when he won the item!
Irsay has an amazing collection from pricey guitars including one’s from Pink Flyod and Kurt Cobain, and much more. Per Bloomberg, Irsay estimates his collection of memorabilia to be worth close to $100 million.
