Talk about your experience as a student. What is your major/minor? Did you participate in any other activities or campus organizations other than football?
I am majoring in Criminal Justice with a minor in Business. I have participated in community service in the Pittsburgh area, doing after school programs and working with a food pantry.

What do you think your teammates would say is your best quality?
My teammates would say that I am caring and passionate. They know that I always have their back. I play for my boys.

What kind of role do you see yourself in on the team? What scheme and/or position suits your skill set?
I’m one of the leaders of our defense and team. Many guys look up to me since I’m a 5-year starter.

Our defense plays mean. Being a fairly new program, we play with a chip on our shoulder which benefits us. Some teams count us out, but we know better. I think a 3-4 scheme benefits me the most. That allows me to either be a true DE in the trenches or stand up as a backer and drop into coverage. Being in that position allows me more room to work and showcases my best skills.

I’ve also been a good contributor on special teams. In my freshman and sophomore seasons, I was actually used as a long snapper. I’ve also pretty much played on every special teams unit.

Who is the best player you have ever played against in college?
I remember playing against Jahleel McLaughlin when he was at Notre Dame College. He is one of the fastest players that I’ve seen. He’s a stud.

Which one of your teammates impresses you the most?
Jake Keenan is not only a tall WR, but he also runs great routes. He also shows off his toughness as a blocker and makes critical catches in games.

Myck Brown is a strong 3-tech on our DL. He has the ability to shut down the run and effect the pass game.

Rich White plays with a dog mentality in the secondary. He has a great work ethic. He’s a stud you should definitely watch.

Describe a time in your life when you were able to overcome a struggle.
My best friend died in a car accident in 2020. That was a rough time, but I know not to dwell on it. I know that I can’t bring him back. I know that he’ll always be with me and I try to make him proud with everything that I do. A lot of people in my life, including my family and teammates, helped me deal with losing my best friend, and I’m forever grateful for their support.

If you didn’t play football, what other sport would you play?
Probably baseball. I played throughout high school. I was a good pitcher and first baseman.

What is something that you are most proud of? What would you say is your biggest achievement so far?
I’m very proud that I’ve had the opportunity to go to college. I’ve also made the Dean’s List and will be the first in my family to graduate.

Describe one of the most memorable plays of your collegiate career.
My sophomore season was our first official year in the Mountain East Conference. That season had a lot of heartache and loss, but we finally got our first win in the last game of the season. We played against Concord and I got a forced fumble in that game.

Do you have a favorite athlete or professional team? Is there a player that you model your game after?
I’m a diehard Giants fan. One of the players that I like to model myself after is Max Crosby. He’s fast off the ball, displays great hands and shows that he can stop the run and pass.

Who is your favorite music artist? What gets you pumped before a game?
Biggie Smalls is one of my favorite artists. Before games, I either listen to him, Tupac, NBA YoungBoy and many other rappers.

What is your favorite comfort food?
Steak with rice and beans.

Do you have a favorite movie, TV show or actor?
My favorite movie is Paid in Full. Ridiculousness is a tv show that I like to watch. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is my favorite actor.

What do you do in your spare time? Do you have any hobbies? Any secret talents?
I like to hang out with friends or spend time with my younger sister. I also enjoy fishing.

Why do you play football? Who or what motivates you the most?
I started football when I was young. I was able to attend a nice private school which helped me get into college. Football has opened many doors, not only allowing me to get an education but also giving me the possibility of making a living out of it and giving back to my family.
