Odell Beckham Jr. says he wants to play for the Rams but he cannot play for free
The NFL is a business, we all know that, but Odell Beckham Jr. is not feeling the love from the Los Angeles Rams.
The Rams won the Super Bowl last year with OBJ lined up at wide receiver and while Beckham Jr. wants to return to the Rams, he said on Twitter he is not willing to play for free.
Beckham Jr. obviously feels like the Rams are lowballing him. With how much wide receivers are being paid around the NFL, I think any offer would look like a low ball offer. OBJ says he understands it is the business, and is not taking it personally, but would like to be compensated for his services.
Odell is expected to miss several months to start the season. He tore his ACL in the Super Bowl, and is still recovering. The Rams are smart, I would wait too, but while lowballing him another team may come in and swoop him up. We will see what happens, but by the sounds of it, Beckham would like to return to the Rams.
