Ranking Best NFL Draft Picks Of All Time

Walter Payton is already in the Hall of Fame, but there will be a new facility for the other historical black football players in Canton
Walter Payton is already in the Hall of Fame, but to me he is one of the best players ever in NFL history!

The Draft just passed us bye and there were many new players introduced. The unique talents might be the ones that change history, just as we speak of the game changers now. As seen on point spreads, there are so many players that come to the top list. In this post, we outline some of the best NFL draft picks of all times!

Charles Woodson

With high safety records, Woodson is one of the greatest players of all time. He is a defensive back with remarkable skills that had a career in Michigan before securing a victory in 1998. In the NFL, he managed to stay for 18 seasons and show off his fantastic performance. In 2009 he was acknowledged as the Defensive Player of the year. He suffered a big injury when playing in the Super Bowl the same year. He is in the fifth place for record in interceptions, with a total of 65 during his career. He has many other NFL records and has played with both Packers and Raiders.

Otto Graham

Graham deserves his spot on the top list as a quarterback with impressive stats. Back at that time, he set the standards for this position. He holds the record for being the leading passer in yards and touchdowns when he was a part of the Cleveland Browns. He managed to secure three championships and became the MVP three times during that time.

“Mean” Joe Greene

If you are looking for the best defensive player in the NFL, you will encounter the name Joe. He was introduced to the team back in 1969, together with the arrival of the new coach Chuck Noll. Later, they became prominent names in NFL history and had four mutual Super Bowl wins. Greene is one of the leading players in the defense, showing excellent performance. In 1969, he won the NFL Defensive Rookie. If this wasn’t enough, he became part of the 10 Pro Bowls. Greene was recognized as the best defensive player in the 70s, with impressive strength and speed to win any game. Even though he had a signature physical style of play, his excellent stamina was unparalleled at that time. His impressive skills led to victory against the Vikings and Raiders. Joe was named the NFL Defensive Player of the Year two times.

John Hannah

Hannah was an offensive guard with pretty impressive skills, so he had to be on this list. His 13-year career in the NFL was played in Foxborough. In 1981, Sports Illustrated referred to Hannah as the best lineman of all time. Thanks to his unmatched skills, this player has ten All-Pro teams in his career. Despite his speed and strength, his size was one of the crucial factors. He was part of the Patriots when they managed to set a record for rushing. However, this record was passed in 2019. What is important to note is that Hannah was acknowledged as part of the All-Decade Team two times.

Walter Payton

Even though other players also have stunning achievements, we can say that Payton is the best player of all time. The running back set a record in 1977 with 14 touchdowns and 1,852 yards. Throughout his career, he was faithful to the Chicago Bears. However, he wasn’t one of those players that were a one-time wonder. He managed to keep his reputation high with impressive records and achievements. Payton was part of the historic win when the Bears won against the Patriots in the Super Bowl.
