What sets you apart from other linebackers?

I think the mental part of the game and instinctual and the way I watch film and in game know what’s going to happen in front of me.

What type of energy do you bring onto the football field?

I like to think I play with alot of juice and high energy whether it’s in practice, the weight room, in game or a walk through always bringing the juice 24/7.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

Winning 3 straight Patriot championships. Being named a team captain as a sophomore and being a part of one of the best defenses in the country last year.

If there was a billboard with 5 of your traits on it which 5 traits would be up there?

Instincts, strength, sideline to sideline, high motor and elite tackler.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

Luke Kuechly, because he’s one of the linebackers I liked growing up and he’s just a stud.

What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

I think my dad had the biggest influence on me and he put me in football at a young age and coached me in my youth and continued to foster it in me.

What should we know about Jacob Dobbs the person?

I’m a E Com major and love learning how the economy works and I love lifting weights even if I didn’t have to play football.

What do you think are the keys to success on the football field?

Being prepared, playing with alot of heart and having fun if you are not having fun you won’t play to the best of your ability.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

You just attack them and whenever you fall down you get up and get after whatever is thrown at you.

What would a team get in a player like you?

There just going to get someone who give high effort 24/7 and always positive and has a positive outlook for his team no matter what the circumstances are.

What is your favorite defensive scheme and why?

Whenever we blitz both linebackers, really not much thinking just going down as fast as you can.

What are you looking forward to in your upcoming season?

I’m looking for another chance to dominate every single day looking to get a 4th straight Patriot title.
