NFL legend Gil Brandt says Dwayne Haskins was living to be dead, then said if he stayed in school he wouldn’t jog on the highway

What are people doing? Adam Schefter first put out some pretty crazy stuff saying that Dwayne Haskins struggled to make it on a roster, then he quickly changed the wording of the tweet, and then Gil Brandt a legendary sccout said this.

Brandt said that the young quarterback was living to be dead, and then went on to say that if he would have stayed in school another year he wouldn’t do silly things like jogging on the highway.

The world is crazy right now. A 24-yeard-old man was killed this morning, and we do not know the details but people are really quick to put out some crazy things when dealing with a persons death.

Brandt apologized for his comments, but he still said it, and that is what is truly gross.

This morning while learning of Dwayne Haskins’ passing, I reacted carelessly and insensitively on a radio interview. I want to apologize to Mr. Haskins’ family and anyone who heard my poor choice of words. I truly apologize. My heart goes out to his family at this difficult time.
