Breaking: NFL Draft’s Top Prospect DeMarvin Leal arrested in Collin County, Texas
DeMarvin Leal is one of the 2022 NFL Draft’s best prospects, but he will have to answer some questions now from NFL teams about his decision-making.
Leal was arrested in Collin County, Texas on December 18th, 2021. Leal was arrested for Possession of Marijuana less than 2 ounces.
I know it is a petty crime, but at the end of the day, they were scheduled to play in the Gator Bowl on December 31st and had to pull out due to COVID. While his teammates were preparing for the game, what was he doing? He did declare for the NFL Draft several weeks ago via his Instagram, but is this how he is preparing for the draft?
NFL teams will likely sweep it under the rug, but at the end of the day it does show piss poor judgement.
Leal had 58 total stops on the year including a staggering 12.5 tackles for loss and 8.5 sacks, big numbers for a 290 pounder. He was named a semifinalist for the Chuck Bednarik Award earlier this month. Leal started all 10 games in 2020. Despite the fact that he sometimes was aligned heads up with opposing blockers , he led the defense in hurries with eight and ranked fifth in tackles with 37.
