Talk about your experience as a student. What is your major/minor? Did you participate in any other activities or campus organizations other than football?
I’ve enjoyed being here at SWOSU. I made a lot of lifelong friends that I’ll never forget. My major is Communication Studies with a minor in Public Relations. I wasn’t involved in any other activities because I was so focused on football while being here.

What do your teammates say is your best quality?
I’ll have to go with my encouragement. With the way this season is going for me and my team, I choose to never give up and continue the fight until the clock hits zero. I love this team and even though things aren’t going our way right now, I’m blessed to play the game I love with my team.

What kind of role do you see yourself in on the team? What scheme and/or position suits your skill set?
I see myself as a deep threat who is also good in the run game. I’ve always considered myself a physical player who makes key blocks for this offense.

Who is the best player you have ever played against in college?
The best player I’ve played against probably will be my own teammates in practice. Those guys make me better in every aspect and push me to be the best player and teammate I can be.

Which one of your teammates impresses you the most?
Torin Justice #2. That man taught me a lot about the game and he makes incredible plays throughout the game that helps our team. He’s a hard worker, and I’m glad just to call him a friend.

Describe a time in your life when you were able to overcome a struggle.
I would have to say going JUCO at Long Beach City College. I didn’t know what the experience would be like. I went through personal family problems that affected me. Yet, I just thank God for getting me this far and blessing me with an opportunity to earn my college degree and play football.

If you didn’t play football, what other sport would you play?
If I didn’t play football I wouldn’t play another sport. With my college degree I would most likely become a sports journalist or somewhere in that field because it’s something I’m really passionate about.

What is something that you are most proud of? What would you say is your biggest achievement?
I’ll say my biggest achievement is being the third in my family to get a bachelor’s degree. Just knowing what we came from and all the struggles my family had to endure, this is a huge achievement I’m most proud of, and I can’t wait to celebrate it with my family and friends.

Describe one of the most memorable plays of your collegiate career.
It would be against East Central University in 2019. With under 2 minutes left, we needed a first down to seal the game away. After our starter got hurt, I was put in by my coach who trusted me on a pick play, and I was able to get the first down, eventually running out the clock to win the game.

Do you have a favorite athlete or professional team? Is there a player that you model your game after?
I model my game after Michael Thomas, who is my favorite player on my favorite team. The way he runs his routes is very precise, and he is very physical in the run game.

Who is your favorite music artist? What gets you pumped before a game?
I don’t necessarily have a favorite artist right now although I listen to Roddy Ricch before games. Being from Compton, CA as well, he’s inspired a lot of people such as myself and helped his city a lot.

What is your favorite comfort food?
My favorite food is anything my grandmother cooks. Being out of state in college, that’s probably one of the main things I miss about being home.

Do you have a favorite movie, TV show or actor?
My favorite TV show right now would have to be One Piece. I enjoy watching a lot of anime which a lot of people probably don’t know about me.

What do you do in your spare time? Do you have any hobbies? Any secret talents?
In my spare time, I’m usually just at home watching YouTube or TV shows, or playing Warzone with my friends. Sadly, I don’t have any secret talents other than football.

Why do you play football? Who or what motivates you the most?
My grandfather. My grandfather was one of Hawaii University’s best players, and he sadly endured a knee injury that was beyond repair. He not only motivates me as a football player but a man as well. He sacrificed a lot along with my grandmother, and I wouldn’t be here in this position without those two old people in my life.
