Top 3 NAIA Football Match-Ups for week 7

Senior Texas Wesleyan defensive lineman and NAIA sack leader Adrian Johnson who has 24 tackles, 13 TFLs and 9.5 sacks

Hello, I am Justin Berendzen (@jrberendzen on Twitter) with my top 3 NAIA matchups of week 7

1.Georgetown College(KY) at Lindsey Wilson College

Obviously this will be tough for Georgetown because Lindsey Wilson College are definitely one  of the top NAIA teams but with that being said they can pull off the upset. If they can Georgetown’s senior quarterback Brandon Burgess will have to be on point he has 1,178 passing yards and 11 touchdowns in the 2021 season. The player to watch offensively for Lindsey Wilson is senior running back Jaylen Boyd who has 425 rushing yards and 4 touchdowns. Trying to stop Boyd for Georgetown is senior linebacker DJ White who has 20 tackles, 8 tackles for loss, 5 sacks and 3 forced fumbles. And Georgetown will have to watch out for Lindsey Wilson senior defensive back Robert Carter who has 19 tackles and 5 interceptions.

2.Benedictine College(KS) at Central Methodist University

This game is going to be built on defense and there’s a player on each team that you need to watch out for. Benedictine has junior linebacker Bryan Barrera who has 28 tackles, and 2 forced fumbles. For Central Methodist it is senior defensive lineman Will Miles who has 37 tackles, 10 TFLs and 4 sacks. Another name to keep an eye on defensively for Central Methodist is senior linebacker London Chambers who has 46 tackles, 8.5 TFLs and 2.5 sacks. Trying to navigate past those guys will be Benedictine senior QB Garrett Kettle who has 1,223 passing yards and 12 touchdowns.

3.Texas Wesleyan University at Langston University (Oklahoma)

I really like this matchup because there’s playmakers on both sides of the ball for both teams. Offensively these 2 teams both have a decent running back Texas Wesleyan has redshirt freshman Clinton Epperson who has 477 rushing yards and 6 touchdowns and as for Langston you have grad Ger’Kerry Jackson who has 450 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns. Trying to stop Jackson will be senior Texas Wesleyan defensive lineman and NAIA sack leader Adrian Johnson who has 24 tackles, 13 TFLs and 9.5 sacks, Texas Wesleyan also has a good defensive back in senior Chance Carroll who has 21 tackles, 2 interceptions and 1 sack. And on the defensive side for Langston you have to watch out for senior defensive lineman Loren Young who has 20 tackles, 9.5 TFLs and 4.5 sacks.
