Former Jets’ scout says Zach and Lisa Wilson act like the Kardashians

Imagine utilizing your child’s fame to make money, and gain a following? That is how Daniel Kelly see Lisa Wilson’s relationship with Zach.

I have seen a lot of things in pro football over 40 years, but I have never seen a player’s mommy involved as much as Jets’ quarterback Zach Wilson’s.

I get she is trying to use her son’s success, or lack thereof to make herself a social media influencer (make money is another way of saying it), but somebody has to draw the line somewhere.

I am drawing that line now.

Zach is a big boy who can get sacked and throw interceptions all on his own. I mean the fact he tried to give his mommy money to get her off Instagram, tells us he can handle the boos and the errant throws all on his own. Zach does not need his mommy causing such a commotion.

I do not believe in fans sending anyone hateful or over-the-line mean spirited messages. I want to make that clear. Booing is one thing, but the one thing I agree with when it comes to Lisa Wilson, is when she said, “Praying for your angry and hateful heart.”

That was well said Lisa. That was class.

There is no place in the great game we all love to go over-board. It is possible to express unhappiness with a performance with respect. I mean Zach Wilson is a bad quarterback, but that can be said with respect like I just did.

Now let’s look at this for what it really is...

This whole thing with Zach and his mommy is a money making scheme. It is no different than the Kardashians or how LaVar Ball has monetized his star basketball sons.

Do you think Zach or especially Lisa Wilson care if the press is positive or negative? No, they do not care because either way it equals dollar$ in their bank accounts.

Why do think Zach went public with the statement about how he would pay his mommy cash to get off Instagram?

He could have instead called her privately and said, “Please stop mommy, defensive linemen and big ass linebackers are laughing at me and it’s making me sad. I don’t need you take my picture in my first day at training camp and I don’t need you acting like that on Instagram, please stop.”

No…he did not do that.

Instead it was like any football play – – it was by design and it is working. They probably both laugh all the way to the bank every day. In the world of social media, good news is just as good as bad news. Every time someone (including me) writes about them, they get paid. Zach and especially Lisa Wilson are playing people like tune$.

Do you see that?

The biggest difference between LaVar Ball and Lisa Wilson is LaVar Ball has great basketball players for sons. Lisa Wilson has a first round bust for a son.

That is going to make it harder and harder on Lisa Wilson as she has to fight that narrative. Being a bust in New York is not good for business. Every time lil Zachy bounces off the turf and gets sacked and every time he throws another errant pass, Lisa Wilson’s chances of monetizing off her son goes down. Eventually Lisa’s son’s jersey will be worth as much as another #2 – – Johnny Manziel.

The best way you can beat Zach Wilson is by putting an NFL defense on the field and the best way you can beat Lisa Wilson is by unfollowing and unfriending her and buy your leopard pants somewhere else.
