Breaking: Former USF Bulls defensive back KJ Sails is working out with the Patriots
We are learning that former South Florida Bulls defensive back KJ Sails is in New England for a workout with the Patriots.
Sails is an All-American defensive back who stands 5’11 and weighs 180 pounds. He was recently at HUB football which initially caught the eyes of NFL scouts.
The Patriots brought him out for a workout and it is a huge opportunity. The Tampa, Florida native played at North Carolina before transferring to South Florida his final years.
In his career he finished at USF with 64 total tackles, 3 interceptions, 1 forced fumble, and 2 fumble recoveries in just 20 games.
In 2017 at North Carolina he was a PBU machine. He finished the season with 13 pass break-ups, that was an amazing year.
The Patriots are looking for depth so this could be a very good signing for them. Sails should have been on a team, if the Patriots sign him this late it is a homerun.
