Eagles sent QB Jalen Hurts to the hospital after he was scratched for the Patriots pre-season game with a stomach problem

Jalen Hurts Eagles NFL Draft
Jalen Hurts was sent to the hospital last night for a stomach issue. The Eagles sat out three offensive lineman as well.

Jalen Hurts and the Eagles took on the New England Patriots last night on the NFL Network and Jalen Hurts was scratched at the last minute. The starting quarterback for the birds was ruled out shortly after kick-off and was sent to the hospital for a stomach issue.

Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni told reporters, he was not feeling well but the team felt it was the best idea for him to be checked out. He left the stadium and went to the hospital. The team reports it is not COVID-19 related.

“Everything’s good, and he’s going to be OK,” Sirianni said. “He had pain in his abdomen, which, for a guy like that to tell us, he’s a tough guy, so it must have been hurting him pretty good for him to let us know about that.”

The crazy thing was several of the starting offensive lineman were scratched as well to include Jason Kelce, Brandon Brooks and Lane Johnson.

The Eagles struggled badly with the Patriots not scoring one point.

Hopefully, Hurts can return to full strength.
