2022 NFL Draft Prospect Interview: Trevon Billington, WR, Langston University

Langston University wide receiver Trevon Bilington recently sat down with NFL Draft Diamonds owner Damond Talbot. CHeck it out.

What makes you a top prospect at your position  in the 2022 NFL Draft? 

What makes me a top prospect in the 2022 draft, is my ability to make plays consistently and be a got to go in down to the wire situation.

At what age were you first interested in the sport of football?

At the age of seven is when I gained interest in the sport of football.

What is one thing that NFL teams should know about you?

One thing that NFL teams should know about me is that my work ethic is unmatched I constantly work to get better at my game.

If you could donate to one cause in the world, what would it be?

If I could donate to one thing in the world it would be to families with children with disabilities. 

What is the best advice you have ever received? 

The best advice I’ve ever received is nothing comes to a sleeper but a dream.

Who was your childhood hero? 

My childhood hero is my mom watching her work hard by herself to make ends meet and make sure I was always good with little to no help.

Who is the most underrated teammate in your locker room at your school? 

The most underrated person in our locker room to me is probably me it seems that people don’t expect me to be as good as I am.

What is your biggest pet peeve? 

My biggest pet peeve is being asked a lot of questions. 

Overcoming adversity is what defines character, what was the hardest moment in your life to overcome? 

The hardest moment in my life was when I was leaving SEMO in 2018 up until about 2020. I couldn’t seem to stay away from jail and thought my football career was coming to an end.

Tell me something about your school and why it is so special to you?

Langston is so special to me because it is my first HBCU experience I lo e everything about the school. 

What is your favorite snack food? 

My favorite snack food is gummy bears.

What is the best part of football? 

The best part of football to me has to be scoring touchdowns. 

If you could sell yourself in one sentence what would you say? 

Go to receiver at all times will get the job done.

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be? 

I would compare my game to Davante Adams.

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would it be and why? 

The three people I would have dinner with would be my aunt Diane Carey, My uncle JR, and I would say my granny I would sit and eat with them because they each played a vital role in my life and kept me on a straight narrow.
