1.What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

Playing football is very popular where I’m from and I was lucky enough to have great coaches through all of my years playing football. The family feeling and brotherhood is what kept me playing football there’s a bond like nowhere else.

2.What sets you apart from other linebackers?

My physicality and awareness has always set me apart from other linebackers. I’ve got a strong sense for where the ball is going and take the right angle to be there. I’m great at reads and I run to the ball while also playing through the whistle.

3.What type of energy do you bring onto the football field?

My energy is always pumping. Being the middle linebacker everyone looks to you for the strength call and motivation when they need it most. I’m always yelling and moving around.

4.If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

Luke Kuechly would be the guy I would want to hang out with. I feel we play alike and he is also a fisherman like myself. Not only that I could ask him how I could better myself on the football field.

5.What are your favorite things about playing football for Maryville College?

My favorite things would be the traditions and how long Maryville football has been alive. We have amazing alumni and a deep fan base!

6.What do you think are the keys to success on the football field?

Keys to success on the football field comes from how you spend your offseason and your dedication to the film room. These two put you in the best position to make plays on the field.

7.What is your favorite workout?

My favorite workout has always been cleans and front squats. These two workouts create explosiveness and that’s needed to play linebacker at a high level.

8.What should we know about Bo Hering the person?

I’m overall a quiet guy who likes to be outdoors. Football is a place where I can be loud and expressive whether it’s in the weight room or on the field.

9.What are your favorite moments from your football life?

My favorite moment from high-school would be setting the all time school record for tackles and my favorite moment from college would be winning conference back in 2018 and having a clutch interception to solidify the win.

10.What would a team get in a player like you?

Teams would get a disciplined hard worker who doesn’t complain. I work hard and give everything I have when I’m on the field. I love the process and that’s what I believe makes me a great football player. When things are tough on the field or in the locker room I’m not going to let that change my mindset I keep it positive.

11.What are you looking forward to in your upcoming season?

I’m looking forward to getting a full season with a new head coach and all my teammates. He is a great guy and is going to bring this ball club back to championship status. My main goal is to help us win a championship and be an All-American.

12.What is your mindset when you are on the football field?

My mindset is a focused storm, as much as I like to be a down hill linebacker I like to put everything into consideration to put myself in the best position to make a play. Reading offenses is one of my best attributes and helps me be where I need to be when I need to be there. I’m a heavy hitter that can move sideline to sideline with great vision.
