1.) What are your favorite things about playing football for West Virginia State?

My favorite thing about playing for West Virginia State is the weight room and facilities they’re top of the line and one of the best in D2 football.

2.) If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

If I could hang with any football player it would be Quentin Nelson because he’s one of the greatest offensive linemen to play the game and I’d love to pick his brain and understand the game the way he does.

3.) What type of energy do you bring onto the football field?

I bring a certain level of physicality and tenacity. I want to punish the guy across from me every chance I get.

4.) What is your mindset when you are on the football field?

My mindset on the football field is to not only skillfully do my job but to punish the person across from me. Football is a game of controlled violence and my mindset is to tactfully inflict punishment on the guy across from me.

5.) What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

My high school coaches saw something in me and pushed me to give football a try and I fell in love with the game after that.

6.) What sets you apart from other offensive linemen?

The thing that sets me apart from all the other offensive linemen in my athletic ability and my will to finish someone on every rep!

7.) What is your favorite workout?

My favorite workout is bicep curls and tricep extensions.

8.) What do you think are the keys to success on the football field?

I think in order to be successful in football you have to be willing to put in the work and push yourself beyond what’s comfortable. 9.) What has been your biggest challenge in life?

My biggest challenge has been having to overcome my knee injuries.

10.) What would a team get in a player like you?

If a team picked me they would be getting a gritty blue-collar guy who’s willing to come in and work my a** off to be a competitor from day 1.

11.) What are you looking forward to in the upcoming season?

This upcoming season I’m looking forward to just getting to play football again, with COVID and everything that’s been going on it’s been a while since I’ve got to play against someone.

12.) What are you still learning as a football player?

As a football player, I’m still learning that it’s just as important to stretch and take ice baths and rehab your body as it is to work out every day. The rest and recovery goes hand in hand with the growth and strength so just being mindful as to how much sleep I get and stuff like that is important.
