Hello, I am @jrberendzen on Twitter and this is one of my free agent interviews where I ask very deserving free agents questions about the players themselves and about what a team would get in these players. All of these players should get picked up by NFL, CFL, and XFL teams and get a shot at being a career football player. So I hope you all read his interview and follow his journey on Twitter @CJ_AndersonJr
1.What type of energy do you bring onto the football field?
I play with passion because I love the game so much my energy is always so high when I put that helmet on.
2.What is one moment in your football career that improved you?
When I moved to play defensive end my senior year it helped me improve my game on edge.
3.Rank focus, footwork and skill based on what is most important to you as a football player and explain why?
My focus comes first I like to look at the offensive line pre-snap to see anything they might be giving away on the play they about to run, next footwork is important because if you step with the correct foot on a slant on anything redirecting it’s going to be hard to move, finally my skill if you have those first two then your skill should take over.
4.What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?
My grandfather was a football player and also my pops was one too so I grew up around the football world and always wanted to be since playing in the backyard as a little kid.
5.What role do you hope to have if you make it into the NFL?
I have always been a team player and a great guy when it comes to leading by example and doing what is right so I want to continue bringing that to any team.
6.What do you hope to achieve as a football player going forward?
To be able to inspire to people to never give up and always go 100% in anything they want to do.
7.What is your favorite workout?
I love to bench press. I like trying to see how much weight I can bench press.
8.What is your mindset when you are on the football field?
I want to be focused and in that dog mode ready to destroy anybody in my way.
9.What sets you apart from other defensive linemen?
My first step off the ball is really on a different level in my eyes. I take pride in the way I come off the ball and run to the ball. My hustle is another way I stand apart.
10.What would a team get in a player like you?
A man who loves the game, that is going to do everything they ask of him and is going to do everything right.
11.What has been your biggest challenge in life?
Going through this COVID season staying positive not knowing what the future holds.
12.What are your biggest traits on the football field?
The way I play the game with passion and the right way because I love to play the game it looks like I’m having fun on every snap of the ball.
