2022 NFL Draft Prospect: Amechi Uzodinma II, CB, Ball State University

Amechi Uzodinma II Ball State 2022 NFL Draft
Ball State cornerback Amechi Uzodinma II also known as AJ is a ball hawk for the Cardinals. You better stop sleeping on Ball State they have some gamers.

His teammates call him AJ, but we in Florida know him as Amechi. The Orlando, Florida native is a player that I am extremely high on. Maybe I am a little bias being I watched him in high school, but he is turned into one of the top cornerback prospects in the 2022 NFL Draft.

Amechi Uzodinma II has consistently gotten better every year for Ball State. In 2018, he played in 11 games finishing the season with 15 tackles, and 1 interception. In 2019, he had a monster year hauling in 5 picks and compiling 38 tackles. Last year, in the COVID year, Uzodinma II finished with 35 tackles, 2 sacks and 1 pick.

He is a physical cornerback with great size. He is a 6’0, 195 pound cornerback that was a wide receiver in high school. He has great ball skills and has truly turned into a big time player in the MAC Division.

He is headed into his senior season and I feel he is one of the biggest diamonds in the rough. I love this kids play, and think if he can get into an All-Star game he will blow up. He is a player I have on my radar, and I hope every other team will also have him on their radar.

NFL Draft Diamonds Scouting Notes:

I am a bit of a homer when it comes to kids I have watched since high school. Amechi’s father played collegiate football and he has been trained correctly. The former high school wide receiver has blossomed into one of the top cornerbacks in the MAC. I love his size, skills and athleticism. He has great ball skills and if you are a smart quarterback you are not going to continually target #3 because he will make you pay. – Damond Talbot, NFL Draft Diamonds Owner
