NAIA football player Alex Hoffman who made it to the NFL this year retires to pursue medical school

Former Carroll College football standout Alex Hoffman has retired from the NFL just a couple weeks after the draft after getting accepted in Medical School.

This year only three NAIA football players had a shot to make it to the NFL. One of the those players was Alex Hoffman the massive offensive lineman from Carroll College.

Right after the draft, Hoffman was the first player to sign a contract with an NFL team. Hoffman inked a deal with the New Orleans Saints. He was able to attend a mini camp with the team and has now decided to try a different career path.

According to Helena Independent Record report, Hoffman recently found out he had been accepted to medical school at St. Louis University.

Hoffman was a former quarterback who won a state championship in Utah, before blossoming into a massive offensive tackle for Carroll College being an All-Conference player,

Well, Hoffman will have a new journey on his hands, but it sounds like he is a pretty competitive kid and a player who has great decision making. It does not matter where you start it is how you finish, and Hoffman has proven that he can finish on top no matter what he does. I cannot wait to read about Dr. Alex Hoffman! Let’s Go!!
