Five potential landing spots for Free Agent Linebacker Kyle Van Noy
Yesterday, the Miami Dolphins released outside linebacker Kyle Van Noy and it still makes absolutely no sense to me. The 29 year old linebacker can still add tons of value to a team at this point. We break down five teams that could use his services moving forward.
Tennessee Titans – The Titans failed miserably with the signing of Jadeveon Clowney, and at the end of the day they still could not get to the quarterback. Van Noy would be a cheaper option and knows Mike Vrabel. The Titans missed out on JJ Watt so keep an eye on Van Noy.
Denver Broncos – The Broncos are likely done with Von Miller. If they lose Miller they will need someone on the other side of the ball. The Broncos have cap space as well, and I feel Van Noy would be a nice complement to Bradley Chubb.
Baltimore Ravens – The Ravens will be losing Yannick Ngakoue, and Matthew Judon. They will need a pass rusher. I think Van Noy fitting in the Ravens mold make sense. The wild thing is the Ravens need several pass rushers. Tyus Bowser, Pernell McPhee and Jihad Ward are all free agents as well. Van Noy would be an upgrade in my opinion.
New England Patriots – Could Van Noy come back to the Pats? He had a great relationship with Bill Belichick and I could see a reunion. The Patriots do have bigger needs right now, but they need help on defense. Van Noy shined under Belichick.
Los Angeles Rams – The Rams are set to lose Leonard Floyd in free agency and I am sure any defensive player would be licking their chops to play next to Aaron Donald. The Rams do not have a ton of cap space, but I like this fit a lot. Van Noy could be an immediate impact player right away for the Rams.
