When Nick Saban coached for the Dolphins, several star players almost fought him for belittling them

Nick Saban seems like such a prick when you watch his interviews. He is a guy that feels he can win every game and he is a great recruite. Well Saban tried his hand at the NFL back in the day and it did not work.

Saban was hired by the Miami Dolphins and let’s just say it did not work out.

When Jay Glazer was on the Colin Cowherd show he told a story about two prominent veteran football players that almost whooped Saban for his antics.

“Nick Saban, the reason why he didn’t make it in the NFL, Daunte Culpepper tried to fight him one day and the security guy stepped in,” Glazer said.

“And then I think his final straw is that he questioned Zach Thomas’ toughness and Zach almost kicked his butt. That just doesn’t work on this level.”

Glazer went on to talk about Urban Meyer and his approach. Hopefully, Meyer will not try to belittle anyone because that does not work at the next level.

“I know Urban’s not one of those guys who tries to go after you and demean you,” Glazer said, “but I said just make sure you don’t do any of that on this level. Because it doesn’t work on this level.”
