Four NFL Head Coaching candidates that should have been hired, but are still waiting

Did Eric Bienemy steal someone’s lunch money? This guy should be a head coach already it is a shame he is still available.

With most of the head coaching hires being finalized, there is not much more speculating to do about who will be going where, only the Eagles, Lions, Texans, and Chargers jobs are left open now. So let’s take a dive into the coaching pool (mostly coordinators) and talk about some coaches that should have been hired a few weeks ago. Pay attention Lions, Texans, Chargers and Eagles, this list is for you.

  1. Todd Bowles

I get that Todd Bowles’s coaching career went totally south in New York, but since when have the Jets ever actually saved anybody’s coaching career. This year, Bowles coached what was one of the single best defenses in the NFL, a defense that was even able to shut down the so called dominant Green Bay Packers offense. Bowles gets regularly slighted, and it is honestly not OK because he has been a very strong coach this year. People don’t talk about players like Jamel Dean and Jordan Whitehead, but they are out there and they can definitely play. Come get Bowles Chargers, he’s still here!

  1. Kellen Moore

Former longtime backup Kellen Moore by all rights should have been the successor to Jason Garrett once he was finally run out of town, but no, he is still stuck as a lowly offensive coordinator. Just imagine what Moore would have been able to accomplish had he been playing with a healthy set of players, Dak Prescott was on pace to absolutely SHATTER the yardage record this year but everybody seems to want to ignore that little fact. Get Kellen Moore for heaven’s sake, he’s open and he’s one of the very best!

  1. Eric Bienemy

Well let’s be real folks this one is obvious, and it might be the one that the Chargers or Eagles are waiting for. Eric Bienemy is the offensive coordinator of none other than the all mighty Kansas City Chiefs with Patrick Mahomes, the greatest quarterback to ever walk the face of the Earth. Somebody absolutely should have scooped Bienemy up, why are the Falcons picking up Arthur Smith when they can be going with the offensive coordinator of one of the most high powered offenses in history?! The latest NFL odds have the Chiefs the favorites to win the Super Bowl again.

  1. Brian Daboll

Look any coach that is going out of his way to make Cole Beasley an All-Pro player deserves respect in my book. Daboll was brought in to the offensive coordinator job in 2018, and not so coincidentally that is when Josh Allen started to show improvement. Now, the Bills are a top three offense in the AFC, and look like the only team that has any shot in hell of knocking off the mighty Chiefs. Daboll should definitely get some consideration, he has developed Josh Allen from a quarterback who we were considering to be a bust, to one we are now speaking about in the same breath as Patrick Mahomes and Aaron Rodgers, THAT is an accomplishment.
