The Tennessee Titans’ offensive coordinator Arthur Smith has been offered the Atlanta Falcons’ head coaching job, and I believe it is a job he should definitely consider taking.

The Falcons have a lot of offensive talent, I believe a really good coach can get a revival season out of Matt Ryan, and what better coach would there be than the coach that revived Ryan Tannehill’s career.

The Falcons also have two of the best receivers in the league with Calvin Ridley and Julio Jones, and young first round talents in Kaleb McGary and Chris Lindstrom that can still be developed on the offensive line.

The defense will still be a problem, but if the Falcons retain Raheem Morris as the defensive coordinator it is possible that the issue will be much closer to being resolved.

I personally would have liked to see Robert Saleh or Todd Bowles take over the Falcons so that the defense could get an overhaul, but Arthur Smith is the next best option.

Arthur Smith has been working with the Titans since 2011, as a defensive quality control coach, offensive quality control coach, offensive line and tight ends coach, assistant tight ends coach, tight ends coach, and most recently offensive coordinator.
