Five of the hottest names in the General Manager hunt

Hottest General Manager names in the NFL
If I was an owner for an NFL team and I had to interview five potential targets, these would be the five guys I interview for the job. Eliot Wolf would be my first target!

Right now there are five vacancies in the NFL, and there are so many scouts around the NFL who should be hot commodities in my opinion.

When I look at a General Manager, I think of a great talent evaluator. I also believe you have to have someone that can communicate. There are tons of great talent evaluators, and I want to talk about five guys I would interview if I was the owner of a football team.

Eliot Wolf – Eliot Wolf is one of the best talent evaluators in the game. He is also a very young and sharp candidate. Wolf worked iwth the Seahawks, Browns, and Packers in the past. He is currently on the Patriots as a consultant. He would be the first guy I interview if I was an owner. I feel he can work with anyone, and if he had the Jaguars job, he would not make a mistake. I think his staff would be insane, he could bring some studs with him. He has major respect in the NFL, and I feel he could turn a franchise around.

Scott Fitterer – Fitterer is another amazing talent evaluator. He started off as an area scout and has moved up the ranks quickly. He is currently the Seahawks Vice President of Operations. Fitterer was the director of college scouting when the Seahawks drafted Russell Wilson, Richard Sherman, Earl Thomas and Bobby Wagner. He would be another person I interview.

George Paton – Paton is a great guy, with a keen eye for talent. Patron spent several years with the Dolphins as the Director of Pro personnel and is currently the VP of Player Personnel and Assistant GM for the Vikings. He knows the position and has turned down several opportunties in the past, I think he listens this year.

Champ Kelly – There is no doubt I would interview Champ Kelly. Champ has an impressive resume, and recently he has been on the Bears staff as the Assistant Director of Player of Pro Personnel. Kelly has earned several interviews in the past, but he was one of the key parts to land the trade for Khalil Mack and Allen Robinson.

Joe Schoen – The Bills Assistant General Manager has been super impressive since joining the Buffalo Bills. Schoen was the first player hired by Brandon Beane in Buffalo. He was the director of player personnel for the Dolphinds before joining the Bills who landed DeVante Parker, Laremy Tunsil and Xavien Howard. He now has the Bills as the AFC East Champs again after 25 years, his stock has to be up!
