High School Football player that attacked the referee who ejected him has been arrested
Emmanuel Duron is facing an assault charge after he blatantly tackled a high school football referee during a game after being ejected.
Duron, who is 18 years old, raced onto the field and slammed into referee Fred Garcia after the official ejected him in the second quarter of an Edinburg High School football game.
Many have watched the video by now. It went viral and we posted it on the website.
Police escorted Duron off the field, and they carted Mr. Garcia to check him for any injuries.
According to records, Duron is being held on a 10,000 dollars bond after he was booked for assault causing bodily injury. He was arraigned Friday on a misdemeanor assault charge at the Edinburg Municipal Court.
