2021 NFL Draft Prospect: Christian Barmore, DL, University of Alabama
This maybe the worst defensive tackle class in recent years, and one player if he decides to enter the 2021 NFL Draft will make it a lot better class. That player is redshirt sophomore Christian Barmore.
Barmore is a massive man standing at 6’5 and weighing 315 pounds. He is built and has a motor. He is not a fat 300 pounds, he is a force at the position with great size.
NFL teams love players with size and speed. They are not the easiest to find. Big defensive lineman that can move are like buried treasures. Barmore is that time of player. He has already recorded 18 tackles this year and 3.5 tackles for loss, to go along with his 3 sacks.
Barmore loves taking on double teams and eating them up. He is so strong, so teams struggle even with two players trying to slow him down.
His versatility is going to be key for him. He can play either 1 or 3 tech. That is going to be huge because any team can use his presence on the field. I think Barmore is going to be a high draft pick, because of his athleticism.

If I am an NFL team in need of a defensive lineman, Christian Barmore is a guy I hope falls to me. I do not see him dropping far. It is hard to find big bodied players with versatility. He reminds me a lot of Jordan Phillips the Arizona Cardinals defensive tackle who had 10 sacks last year for the Bills. Barmore is a big and strong kid with a knack for getting after the quarterback.
