Alabama offensive lineman Alex Leatherwood has a frame that NFL personnel will fall in love with. He is a huge and athletic offensive tackle. I truly believe he is the best left tackle in the nation, and he is not talked about it enough.
He has 42 games under his belt and 35 consecutive starts on the best football team in college. He is a specimen and has been since high school.
Leatherwood was a top offensive lineman prospect at Booker T. Washington and played under Charlie Ward the former Heisman Trophy Winner there.
He selected Bama over LSU, Florida, Florida State, Michigan and Tennessee. He was not wrong and boy has he been a beast for the Crimson Tide.
To me you will not find a mean and more aggressive offensive tackle in college football. He prides himself in not getting beat, and when he is able to set his feet into the ground you are not getting around him.
He will be a first round pick, and if he is not, NFL scouts will be fired.
NFL Draft Diamonds Scouting Notes
Some team is going to get a monster on their offensive line. I honestly believe that Leatherwood is better than Penei Sewell. I know everyone has him rated lower, but I think when it comes to the NFL, you need a player who can dominate the player across from him. Leatherwood has been doing that for years at Alabama. He is my top OT prospect. – Damond Talbot, NFL Draft Diamonds Owner
