Zach Wilson almost ended up at Boise State, but BYU head coach Kalani Sitake was relentless in his pursuit of Wilson.
Zach Wilson grew up as a huge fan of Utah where his father Mike played. Utah did not offer Zach a scholarship though.
Zach Wilson is playing his way into NFL Draft discussions. He is flying up NFL Draft boards and maybe playing his way into the first round.
Zach Wilson has a little Johnny Manziel or Baker Mayfield in him. He is not as cocky, and he does not have the character issues. I am talking about their style of play. Wilson is a better runner than both of them and is way more accurate than both of them. Both of them were first round picks though.
This past weekend was Wilson’s worst game of the year. He threw his first interception. The pick ended a streak of 184 pass attempts without an interception, which set a school mark. It came on a bad decision, but BYU was up heavily at that point.
Wilson has been blowing up quickly, and Gil Brandt an NFL Hall of Fame evaluator talked about Wilson’s rise the other day on Twitter.
One of the nation’s smoothest quarterbacks is @BYUfootball‘s Zach Wilson. He’s had some incredible throws in this unbeaten season for BYU, including this one on third down Saturday. As pretty as you’ll see. Makes it look effortless. pic.twitter.com/bcyUuX3lAG

Wilson is the real deal, he will get selected higher than expected.
Zach Wilson has some swag to him. He is a pretty impressive quarterback. The 6030 quarterback weighs 210 pounds and has a good arm. He has 19 touchdown passes and has thrown for 2,152 yards. He has to be in the Heisman race at this point. The BYU QB is leading his team to an undefeated record, and guess who he faces this week? Undefeated Boise State will be taking on Zach Wilson. Can Wilson put it on the team he stood up? Boise State will want to beat Wilson, and we may find out more about him this week. – Damond Talbot, NFL Draft Diamonds, Owner
