Panthers QB Teddy Bridgewater Injury Update: No structural damage to his knee
Chris Mortensen of ESPN, just dropped some huge news for Teddy Bridgewater Fantasy Football owners. Bridgewater who went down with a knee injury did not suffer any structural damage.
Bridgewater had the Panthers fighting the Buccaneers into the fourth quarter when he injured his knee. His head coach Matt Rhule would not talk about his status for next week’s Detroit game.
The injury occurred with 5:24 remaining when Tampa Bay edge rusher Jason Pierre-Paul sacked Bridgewater with a twisting tackle around the knees.
The medical diagnosis is an MCL sprain according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Insiders.
This is great news for Bridgewater who suffered a horrible knee injury when he played for the Vikings, but this was the other knee. Good thing he will be okay. He will be sore and may not play against the Lions, but he should be able to return after that.
