Vanderbilt’s kicker this week will be Sarah Fuller! The first woman to participate in a Power 5 football game
There will be a historic moment tomorrow when Vanderbilt plays Missouri tomorrow. Sarah Fuller a women’s soccer player will be the place-kicker for Vandy tomorrow.
The cool thing is she will be the first woman to participate in a Power 5 football game.
Fuller, a senior goalkeeper from Wylie, Texas, played her first game against South Carolina earlier this year.
Appearing on ESPN 102.5 The Game, head football coach Derek Mason said on Nov. 24 that Fuller is an “option” at kicker.
“Had her out, had a chance to look at what she can do with a football,” Mason said, per The Athletic’s Peter Baugh. “She’s really good with a soccer ball, seems like she’s pretty good with a football, too.”
This is the news I am here for!
