The New England Patriots are working out former Tulane tight end Charles Jones II. He played 40 games and 22 starts for Tulane.

The 6040, 255 pound pass catcher has 40 career receptions for 268 yards and 5 touchdowns.

The New Orleans, Louisiana native was signed by the Jacksonville Jaguars as an undrafted free agent.

Jones was recently released by the Jaguars. He was on the injured reserve and was released with an injury settlement, and also signed to the Buffalo Bills practice squad. The Bills released him a week or two ago.

The Patriots are banged up right now at the tight end position. This could be a great addition.
