Coronavirus has hurt many football players from starting on time, but there are five players that it has helped out big time! With less games this year, NFL scouts are able to watch more and more film of some of the schools maybe they would not have watched until later in the season. Sometimes you have to make the most of an opportunity and these five players are making the most of their opportunities.
ALL EYEZ ON ME: These players are stealing the show
These five players have really helped themselves in the early 2020 fall season.
1.) Tim Jones, WR, Southern Mississippi – In two games Jones cannot be guarded. He has 14 receptions for 299 yards and has scored twice. The Biloxi, Mississippi native has really been impressive this year. He has speed, great hands and is elusive. Overall, Jones has been super impressive.
2.) Austin Watkins, WR, UAB – If you did not watch last nights game you are missing out. Sammy Watkins little cousin tore it up. Austin is a player we have been high on all year. He is a kid that will wear an NFL uniform, and he is a sleeper at this point.
3.) Jaelon Darden, WR, North Texas – North Texas lost Rico Bussey, but Jaelon Darden has stepped up big time. He has only played in 2 games and has five receiving touchdowns. Darden is currently second in career receiving touchdowns at the school and the 5090 speedster has been dominating defenses in 2020.
4.) Reggie Roberson, Jr., WR, SMU – Everyone was wondering how he would respond to an injury that cut his season short last year. Well Roberson is here folks. He has three touchdowns in two games. He is averaging 101 yards a game already. He is helping his stock out big time.
5.) Jonathan Adams Jr., WR, Arkansas State – A few weeks ago Adams was the talk of the town and he should be. He dominated the entire game, and looked like a man among boys on the football field. He was making one handed catches, and Moss Like receptions. Adams play has landed him on NFL teams radars.
