Breaking: New York Jets are expected to sign LB Paul Worrilow to their Practice Squad

Paul Worrilow the former Delaware Blue Hen All-American linebacker is back in the NFL. We are learning the Wilmington, Delaware native is expected to sign to the New York Jets practice squad.

Worrilow’s story is amazing. He was not highly recruited after graduation and was only able to solidify offers from Division II schools. Instead of taking any offers, he moved to Kansas to play for JuCO powerhouse Coffeyville Community College. After a stellar couple years at Coffeyville, Worrilow turned down an offer to play at Arkansas to go back home and sign with Delaware, his hometown team.

At Delaware, Worrilow would become an All-American and was one of the fiercest players in the FCS. After a solid pro day, he would end up signing with the Atlanta Falcons as an undrafted free agent.

Worrilow would end up becoming the starting middle linebacker for the Falcons and making Mel Kiper Jr.’s All-Rookie Team. He would lead the Falcons in tackles over the next few years and eventually help his team get to the Super Bowl against the Patriots.

Since his time with the Falcons, Worrilow has played on the Lions, Eagles, Ravens and was with the Jets last season.

Well, the New York Jets are signing the 6000, 230 pound linebacker their practice squad. After losing Avery Williamson and others to injuries, the Jets need Worrilow, so this is a great move.
