NFL is back!!! Predicting the winner of the Chiefs/Texans game tonight

COVID-19 is not the problem, 2020 just sucks. Even though the NFL is back, 2020 strikes again in our NFL week 1 predictions!

2020 has been the most insane years ever in my life. We have lost legends like Kobe Bryant and the black panther himself Chadwick Boseman. We have not been able to get away from COVID, we’ve struggled as a nation, we’ve struggled with social injustice, but tonight that changes.

What Changes?

The NFL is back!!!

Tonight, the Kansas City Chiefs will take on the Houston Texans in a battle of recently paid quarterbacks. Both Patrick Mahomes and Deshaun Watson we’re given major contracts in this off-season. We will see you tonight which quarterback earns his money.

According to HOW TO Bet, the Chiefs are favorites to win the game. I mean that is expected right? They did just win the Super Bowl, but don’t count out the Texans.

I honestly believe that the Texans are behind the eight ball this year. They traded away their best football player to the Arizona Cardinals in exchange for former Northern Iowa stand out running back David Johnson. David Johnson was one of the best running backs in the NFL before suffering a knee injury.

People laughed when the Texans traded DeAndre Hopkins, But if David Johnson can return to rookie year form for the Texans they could upset the Chiefs tonight. You can never bet against Deshaun Watson. Last year in the playoffs Watson was a magician escaping a planned attack by Siran Neal off the edge to lead the Texans passed the Buffalo Bills. I thought the Bills would crushed the Texans and they would win, but that was changed quickly when their huge lead diminished.

That huge lead against Buffalo changed with one play. It all started with J.J. Watt and the defense. That momentum swing helped the Texans cruise past the Bills, and to be honest, they have a good young team.

The Texans are pretty stacked at wide out with Brandin Cook, Kenny Stills, Kelle Coutee and Will Fuller. A ton of speed at wide out. The Chiefs secondary is suspect, so if Deshaun Watson can hit his targets in stride and pick up some big gains, this could be a shootout!

Many believe Patrick Mahomes will year it up again. I too believe that but what if he did struggle or God forbid he was injured? The Chiefs season would be a disaster. Mahomes and his trickery behind the center have become the new quarterback style of the NFL. Imagine if the Chiefs had to role with Chad Henne though? I am not trying to jinx the Chiefs but if the Chiefs lost Mahomes it would be a bad season for football.

I mean it is 2020 though, what has went right so far? Has anything went right? It seems like anything and everything bad that can happen has happened. So let me get to my predictions, sorry Chiefs fans you may not like this.

Predicting the Outcome

The Kansas City Chiefs come out swinging, they get the ball first and drive down the field to score a touchdown. Tyreek Hill scores on an end around from 18 yards out. Chiefs take the early lead 7-0.

The Texans make a little short come back when Deshaun Watson hits will Fuller on a 65 yard bomb to get them in field-goal range. The Texans hit the field goal cutting the lead to four.

In the second quarter Mahomes will take a snap and drop back When J.J. Watt breaks free, in a last effort move to save his QB, the right tackle pushes Watt accidentally into Mahomes landing on him awkwardly. Mahomes ends up straining his shoulder, and is not able to return to the game.

That momentum switch, just like the Bills game.

And that is when all hell breaks loose for the Chiefs. The Texans and David Johnson begin running the ball wild. Jonnson finishes with 150 Plus yards on the ground and the Texans end up beating the Chiefs 24-14.

Football is back but 2020 is still here.
