We are learning that former Air Force longsnapper Harrison Elliott and former West Chester longsnapper Shane Griffin both worked out for the Las Vegas Raiders today.
Shane Griffin was a defensive player at West Chester who ended up switching to the O-line his senior season while holding down longsnapping duties for the team. Griffin is a 6030, 270 pound long snapper who was impressive his senior year snapping for the Golden Rams.
Former Air Force longsnapper Harrison Elliott has one of the coolest stories out there. His story is wild because he is a military veteran who also has diabetes. We wrote an article about him earlier this year. Elliott recently worked out with the Atlanta Falcons.
Both players worked out today according to sources. I am hearing Harrison crushed his workout and will remain on the teams shortlist if not signed. The only longsnapper on the roster for the Raiders is Trent Sieg, so we will see what the Raiders do.
