Something is happening at Bethany College that does not make sense. First their head coach was fired last week. We reported it, because several players were so upset about the firing. Many players took to Twitter to talk about the situation, but today the Swedes made another crazy move.
We are learning that Defensive Coordinator Barry Rave has been fired as well. Rave was in his second season and is a former South Dakota State University alum. This move is wild considering the Bethany Football team is expected to play in a week.
The first game of the season on the schedule for the Swedes is the University of Saint Mary on September 12 at 6:00 pm in Leavenworth, Kansas.
The team fired head coach Curran White last week after just one season with the team. He was beginning his second season with the team. The team has hired Tyrone Carter as their interim head coach. The team is making tons of changes, but the players do not understand why.
This is crazy, I wonder if the Bethany Football Players will just opt out of the 2020 football season. I do not think the school or the administration is putting this team in the best situation to win a football game. I am not knocking Coach Carter, but he will have one week to prepare for the University of St. Mary and he will be doing it with a brand new defensive coordinator? His defensive coordinator will only get 7 days to come up with a game plan.
If I am a player at Bethany College I am opting out, until someone provides some answers.
