We are learning that former NDSU Bison Kyle Emanuel has earned a workout with the Las Vegas Raiders. Emanuel is not the only player in town. We know that Cardale Jones the XFL gunslinger from Ohio State University as well as veteran RB Theo Riddick, and LB Austin Hall are also in town. We heard they have a wideout too but are trying to find out who else is there.
But let me talk about my small schooler for a minute!
Emanuel played college football for North Dakota State University where they won four straight FCS championships. He was drafted by the San Diego Chargers in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL Draft.
Emanuel was a Buck Buchanan Award Winner in 2014, and had a great couple years with the Chargers.
Emanuel started 32 regular season games for the Chargers over the past four seasons, including seven in 2018. He did not miss a game the past three seasons. The linebacker compiled 147 tackles, four sacks and five passes defensed in his career.

NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Emanuel visited with the Detroit Lions and had interest from the Oakland Raiders, among others, before retiring.
On April 4, 2019, Emanuel announced his retirement from the NFL. He recently told his agent and NFL teams he wanted to come back. The Texans loved his abilities and wanted to sign him. This is a great signing for the Texans and the former NDSU Bison!
