2020 has to be one of the wildest years I’ve ever been through. From the pandemic to now a hurricane, this year seems to never give up. Today, as I sit here, I ponder on the 2021 season.

Lake Charles, Louisiana has been my home for the past football season.

In 2019, I was given the privilege to be a part of the McNeese family. I am a professional football scout who also writes for NFL Draft Diamonds. McNeese is full of talent. My late father in-law once told me “Kelm, behind every good offense/defense is the LINE.!” He emphasized this. We spent almost a decade together on and off the football field. So when I thought about doing this piece, I thought of those who would make a impact if we had a 2020 season.

McNeese is nestled in Lake Charles, Louisiana and plays in the Southland Conference.

For Redshirt Freshman Jack Zelezinski, contributing in any shape and fashion is part of his mission. Zelezinski came to the Cowboys from Houston, Texas where he played for the Summer Creek High School Bulldogs.

While a member of the Bulldogs, he contributed  in numerous ways. He was named Offensive Lineman of the Year in 2017 and 2018.  He also was ranked the No. 8 center and No. 12 guard in the state of Texas.

At 6-5 and 296 pounds, Cowboys Quarterbacks should rest assure when they step back to make the pass. He lettered all four seasons in football.

McNeese is under a new direction, Coach Frank Wilson was named the new Head Coach of McNeese in 2020. Wilson brings with him a plethora of experience and I expect him to utilize Jack. Check back in 2021 and keep your eyes open for this great contributor.
