South Carolina’s Governor says if COVID-19 continues there will be NO College Football in SC
If you ever lived in South Carolina you would know that it means everything. Cars will drive by you and they wave their Clemson or Gamecock flags hard. They love their football, and now there may not be football.
COVID-19 continues to grow in South Carolina and the Governor is taking a stand. Gov. Henry McMaster warned the State of South Carolina and their fans that the current executive order bans such things as spectator sports, concerts, and movie theaters. That ban will remain in place, the governor said sternly.
“I will not remove those restrictions. I cannot lift those restrictions if these numbers continue to rise and the danger persists. I can’t do it. I won’t do it,” McMaster said. “This fall will not be like other falls. We will not be able to have college football. We will not be able to have high school football.”
Could you imagine Clemson not playing this year? If that happens, there will not be college football.
At least 28 Clemson University athletes and staff have tested positive for coronavirus, including 23 football players, already.
