Former 49ers first round pick convicted of raping a mentally disabled woman and faces 15 years to life in prison.

Dana Stubblefield, the former San Francisco 49ers was found guilty of luring a developmentally disabled woman to his house to rape her.

The former defensive tackle reportedly brought a developmentally disabled woman to his house with a promise of babysitting someone for him. He contacted her through a babysitting website.

The woman was 31 years old and went to Stubblefield’s house to interview for a babysitting job. She left after 20 minutes, but then the massive defensive tackle called her to return to pay her for her time. She returned and Stubblefield raped her then paid her $80 dollars. The lady immediately went to the police department to report the incident.

Stubblefield was a first round draft pick in 1993 of the San Francisco 49ers. From 1993 to 2003, he spent a total of seven years with the San Francisco 49ers, three years with the Washington Redskins, and one year with the Oakland Raiders as a defensive tackle.

In 1993 he was named the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year with 10.5 sacks, and in 1997 he was named NFL Defensive Player of the Year by The Associated Press after he recorded 15 sacks.

Stubblefield is now facing 15 years to life in prison for the incident.
