Tell us about your university/college. Did you participate in any other activities or campus organizations other than football?
My HBCU is a very special place I can call home forever. The atmosphere is like no other.
Unfortunately no, but I have begun the process to join a fraternity in the spring of 2021.
What do your teammates say is your best quality?
My leadership on and off the field and just the way I approach the game everyday.
What kind of role do you see yourself in on the team? What scheme and/or position suits your skill set?
I’m one of the leaders on the team who leads not only vocally but by action. I feel like I’m a very versatile player who can get the job done in all schemes. I can play both safeties and nickel. I’m confident in my work and preparation. I feel like I can play anywhere in the secondary.
Who is the best player you have ever played against in college?
Dan Ellington in 2017. He was a dual threat QB for Itawamba Community College.
Which one of your teammates impresses you the most?
Q Cole impresses me most. He is an all around great guy that works extremely hard and holds his teammates accountable.
Describe a time in your life when you were able to overcome a struggle.
In 8th grade my mom, younger siblings and I were kicked out of where we were staying and really had to bounce from house to house. Being the oldest was challenging, and I had to sacrifice a lot.
If you didn’t play football, what other sport would you play?
Baseball. I regret deciding to play so late
What is something that you are most proud of? What would you say is your biggest achievement?
I’m most proud of winning a SWAC Championship. My 2019 SWAC Championship MVP Trophy was my biggest achievement. Just seeing how happy my family was for me is something I’ll never forget.
Describe one of the most memorable plays of your collegiate career.
In junior college, one play I blitzed the QB from the other side of the field and still managed to chase down a receiver who was about to score. It was a very important play in the game.
Do you have a favorite athlete or professional team? Is there a player that you model your game after?
I don’t have one specific favorite athlete but growing up watching hard knocks I was always a Jets fan. I model my game after Tyrann Matheiu and Landon Collins
Who is your favorite music artist? What gets you pumped before a game?
Lil Baby. All of his music gets me pumped and ready to dominate
What is your favorite comfort food?
Spaghetti
Do you have a favorite movie or actor?
My favorite movies are all three Friday’s, and my favorite actor is Jamie Foxx
What do you do in your spare time? Do you have any hobbies? Any secret talents?
In my spare time I love playing 2k. I enjoy reading books on athletes’ lives and what they had to endure on their journey to making their dreams come true.
Who or what motivates you the most?
The everyday struggles my family go through. I know they have sacrificed a lot for me so the best thing for me to do is just give anything I do in life my all and know that God has a blessing for me.
