Jets DC Gregg Williams says “You never mess with a guy’s contract” concerning Jamal Adams
It sounds like Jamal Adams has at least one supporter in the New York Jets locker room. Gregg Williams the New York Jets defensive coordinator made a comment to reporters today about the Jamal Adams situation and he says he understands his concern and backs him.
You never mess with a guy’s contract… I have his back on that.
Williams then went on to say he hopes Adams comes back and returns because he thinks the world of him. Williams said that he loves coaching Adams, and wants him to know that the Jets value him.
“I want him to feel good about being here,” Williams said.
Last year, Adams was a one-man wrecking ball. He compiled 75 tackles, 13 QB hits, 10 tackles for loss, seven passes defended, two forced fumbles, and one INT, earning All-Pro honors. I think Williams is making tons of sense, someone needs to play good cop at this point because everything has been bad so far.
