Colin Kaepernick is on the Chargers short list at quarterback
Roger Goodell wants Colin Kaepernick back in the NFL, and today one team said they have Kaepernick on their short list.
What is a short list? Well a short list is when a team has a list of players who they will work out if they have a need at the position. Anthony Lynn the Chargers head coach told reporters this week that Kaepernick is on their workout list in the future if they have an injury at the position.
“I haven’t talked to him,” Lynn told reporters. “He fits the style of quarterback that we want. We’re happy with the three quarterbacks that we want, but you can’t have enough on the runway.”
Even though the 32 year old Kaepernick has not played in the NFL since the 2016 season, only one team has worked him out since. If the Chargers do in fact work him out, it would be very interesting. The Chargers have Tyrod Taylor, Justin Herbert and Easton Stick on their roster. I am not sure any are better than Colin Kaepernick, at this point, but we will see what happens.
