2021 NFL Draft Prospect: Jah-Maine Martin, RB, North Carolina A&T University

Jah-Maine Martin NCAT
The former Coastal Carolina running back Jah-Maine Martin has been dominating the MEAC division. Remember his name in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Former Coastal Carolina running back Jah-Maine Martin has been a huge asset to the North Carolina A&T Aggies. Last year, he put the Aggies on his back, and was a one-man show. The running back was a force in the MEAC, and I think this year he will once again prove he belongs in the NFL.

Martin had a record breaking season and helped his team win the Celebration Bowl . The former Chanticleer back rushed for 1,446 yards scoring 23 touchdowns as a redshirt junior.

Martin has been so stellar that last year he eclipsed the touchdown mark of NFL running back and former Aggie Tarik Cohen.

Martin was a beast for Conway High School in South Carolina. He finished his senior year with back to back 1000 yards rushing. He would end up going to Coastal Carolina, but after a suspension Martin was able to find a new home in the HBCU.

In his first year with the Aggies, he racked up 656 yards teaming with Marquell Cartwright. Since then he has been a legitimate NFL Draft prospect. He can do it all. Martin can catch the ball out of the backfield, he is super fast, and has the ability to make defenders miss. He is a compact back standing at 5’11 and 215 pounds. He is not afraid to put his head down, and this year I think he will continue to shine.

NFL Draft Diamonds Scouting Notes:

Jah-Maine Martin is one of the best HBCU football players coming out in the 2021 NFL Draft. I would have not been shocked if he came out early like former teammate Daryl Johnson who was drafted by the Bills in the seventh round 2019. I think Martin is a stud, he has breakaway speed, and is a compact back that can bull you over. He reminds me a lot of Marshawn Lynch minus the drama. – Damond Talbot, NFL Draft Diamonds, Owner
