2021 NFL Draft Prospect: Gabriel Watson, RB, University of Sioux Falls

Gabriel Watson Sioux Falls
Gabriel Watson is a playmaker, and we recently broke down some film on him. Keep an eye on this kid in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Gabriel Watson has accumulated 278 carries for 1,980 yards and 27 TDs in his career an is averaging 7.12 yards per carry.

Watson was the Male Athlete of the Year in high school playing both running back and defensive back.

Gabe would end up at Diablo Valley College where he had a pretty solid start in 2017 where he rushed for 449 yards, with six TDs in just 11 games.

In 2018, Watson transferred to Sioux Falls, and his career has taken off since. He dominated the 2018 season bringing home tons of awards and finished as USF Athletics Male Athlete of the Year.

Watson was hoping to continue his dominance last season in 2019, but suffered an injury in the first game of the year. He finished the season with nine carries for 23 yards and a TD in a 34-14 win over Winona State. He was granted a medical redshirt so we will see him in 2020 as a grad student.

NFL Draft Diamonds Scouting Notes:

Gabriel Watson is a beast at the Division 2 level, he runs hard and makes defenders miss. He was a force for USF in 2018 and I expect him to return to form in 2020. He is one of the better small-school running backs in the 2021 NFL Draft, and I would not be shocked if tons of scouts come into USF to watch him this year. – Damond Talbot, Owner, NFL Draft Diamonds
