XFL Week 4 Top Performers for Saturday’s two XFL games

LA Wildcats quarterback Josh Johnson had a good game yesterday against the New York Guardians but it was not enough to get the win. Justin Berendzen of Draft Diamonds breaks down the early game winners!

QB

Jordan Ta’amu Saint Louis Battlehawks-

Ta’amu was solid as a passer with 264 pass yards and 1 TD. As a runner he was also really good with 63 Rush yards. If Ta’amu can be a good passer every week NFL teams are going to want this guy.

Josh Johnson LA Wildcats-

Even though the Wildcats lost Johnson was pretty good. Johnson had 330 pass yards and 2 TDS. He did give up 1 INT though. But he played almost perfect as a QB besides that INT.

RB

Darius Victor New York Guardians-

Victor was a beast. He had 82 rush yards. But he ran all over the Wildcats and help dictate the game and it went  the Guardians way. I think that the Guardians need to keep using him to be successful.

WR

Tre McBride and Jordan Smallwood LA Wildcats-

These guys were awesome. McBride had 127 receiving yards and 1 TD and was a beast. Smallwood was also good and had 75 recieving yards. These guys were awesome weapons for Josh Johnson.

De’Mornay Pierson El St.Louis Battlehawks-

Pierson El was so good. Pierson El had 1 TD and 71 recieving yards. Pierson El has been a reliable target for Ta’amu and should continue to be one. Ta’amu needs to keep finding him.

OL

Battlehawks Offensive Line-

The Battlehawks offensive line was decent giving up only 1 sack. They need to continue their good play so Ta’amu has time.

DL

Devin Taylor LA Wildcats-

Taylor was awesome for a second week in a row. With 1 and a half sacks, 3 tackles and 1 assist . Taylor has been a force for the Wildcats defense. And NFL teams should look at this guy.

Jarrell Owens New York Guardians-

Owens was a beast. He had 2 sacks and 3 tackles in the game against the Wildcats and should continue to be a huge part of the Guardians defense. Owens was dominant.

Pasoni Tasini Seattle Dragons-

Tasini played pretty well. He was the only one to get through the Battlehawks offensive line. The Dragons might have something here in Tasini need a much needed pass rusher.

LB

Will Smith LA Wildcats-

Smith was really good against the Guardians. He had 9 tackles and 5 assists. Smith continues to be a linebacker the NFL should watch.

Steven Johnson Seattle Dragons-

Steven Johnson keeps showing up on this list. And he continues to play really good. Johnson had 8 tackles and 5 assists. This guy is definitely on NFL teams radars too he’s been very consistent and always puts up good numbers.

DB

Ahmad Dixon LA Wildcats-

Dixon was a beast for the Wildcats defense yesterday. Dixon had 14 tackles and 5 assists. If Dixon continues to play this well the Wildcats defense should play better.

Jamar Summers New York Guardians-

Summers had the capitalized on Johnson’s only real mistake and got an interception. Summers also had 5 tackles and 1 assist and needs to continue to be dominant in the Guardians secondary so the Guardians are successful.

Will Hill St Louis Battlehawks-

Hill keeps playing well and had an interception against the Dragons that basically sealed the game. Hill keeps stepping up when something needs to happen. If NFL teams needs a guy who can step up in the right moment Hill is that guy. Hill also had 2 tackles and 1 assist.

Kicker of the week 4 Saturday:

Matthew McCrane New York Guardians-

McCrane was awesome with 3 FGs. Makes from 51, 47 and 23. McCrane has been a good reliable kicker for the Guardians.
