XFL Sunday Top Performers for Week 5

QB

Josh Johnson LA Wildcats 

Johnson was awesome. He had 288 pass yards and 4 TDs. Johnson is playing very well for a guy who missed 1 week at least. Johnson has the Wildcats offense in a really good place. He did have 1 int though 

Taylor Cornelius Tampa Bay Vipers

Cornelius was also solid it was a shootout with the Wildcats and Vipers. Cornelius had 300 pass yards and 2 TDs. He also had 45 rush yards and 1 rush TD.

But there were mistakes he did throw 2 Ints.

Jhurell Pressley DC Defenders 

Pressley finally had a good game. I always thought that DC needs to go with  Pressley and Week 5 against the Battlehawks proved that.  Pressley had 107 Rushing yards and led the Defenders to a win.

WR

L’Damian Washington Saint Louis Battlehawks 

Washington was a beast. And he showed what he can do. Washington had 114 recieving yards in what was a game that didn’t have alot of offense. 

Reece Horn and Jalen Tolliver Tampa Bay Vipers 

These guys were both solid. Tolliver had 95 recieving yards and 1 touchdown. Horn had 90 recieving yards and a touchdown. These guys have really improved from week 1 and are good targets for Cornelius.

DL

Peli Anau, Tavaris Barnes, Anthony Johnson and Tracy Sprinkle  DC Defenders 

Anau had 4 tackles, 2 assists and 1 sack. Barnes had 3 tackles, 1 assist and 1 sack. Anthony Johnson had 3 tackles  and 1 assist. Tracy Sprinkle had 2 tackles, 1 assist and 1 sack. All these guys had a sack and they were all beasts. 

Boogie Robert’s, Reggie Howard and Cedric Reed LA Wildcats 

These guys caused havoc for the Vipers.  Cedric Reed had 6 tackles, 3 assists and 1 sack.  Boogie had 6 tackles, 2 assists and had a fumble recovered for a touchdown. And Reggie Howard had 1 tackle,1 assist and 1 Int. These guys showed up and played really well.

LB 

Jameer Thurman and Jonathan Celestin DC Defenders 

These guys were awesome sunday against the Battlehawks. Thurman had 7 tackles and 3 assists. Celestin had 7 tackles and 3 assists also. They also did tag team work on a punt blocked Thurman blocked the punt and Celestin recovered and ran with it.

Terrance Garvin Saint Louis Battlehawks 

This guy is a force. One of the best LBs in the league. Garvin had 16 tackles and 9 assists. I think NFL teams need to notice this guy.

Kenny Robinson and Will Hill Saint Louis Battlehawks 

Robinson was a beast sunday. Hill has been dominant. Robinson had 5 tackles, 1 assist and 1 sack. Hill had 12 tackles and 3 assists. Robinson is draft eligible and I think he really helped his stock.

Tyree Kinnel DC Defenders 

When Kinnel plays well the Defenders play well.  Kinnel had a very good day. He had 10 tackles and 1 assist. Kinnel is someone that the Defenders need to keep being successful.

Jerome Couplin and Jack Tocho LA Wildcats 

These guys were awesome.  Couplin really had some huge hits out there and  had 4 tackles and 2 assists. Tocho had 5 tackles, 4 assists and 1 Int. These guys were awesome sunday.

Robert Priester Tampa Bay Vipers 

He played decent. He got Johnson’s only mistake a int and is a force on Tampa Bay’s defense. Priester also had a tackle.  Priester had been solid for the Vipers.
