Five teams that should want Cam Newton

Cam Newton is pissed that he is being replaced by Teddy Bridgewater and he has every right to be mad, but what teams are going to look at Cam for his services? He may have to take a lesser role.

I cannot believe that Cam Newton is basically going to get cut. This is a huge problem for me. I have been trying to think what teams could use him and there are many that I feel could benefit from Cam’s services, but many will focus on the NFL Draft. I wanted to pick five teams that I feel should sign Cam Newton, so pay attention this could get interesting.

Minnesota Vikings – Yes, I said Minnesota Vikings. I do not care if they just signed Kirk Cousins, he is not very good. I think Cam Newton could come in right now and compete with Cousins. I personally think Cam is better than Kirk Cousins at this point as well. I know the injuries have hurt Cam but he is a solid player when healthy. They are my darkhorse.

New Orleans Saints – Let him compete with Drew Brees? Yes, Drew Brees is not getting any younger and they were going to groom Teddy Bridgewater and this is a great opportunity to groom Cam. Cam can sit behind Brees and if an injury happens you have a stud with starting experience rather than Taysom Hill as your back-up. It may not make Hill happy but it is what it is. This is football.

Arizona Cardinals – The Cardinals need a back-up. I love Drew Anderson and feel he would be a perfect number 3, but at this point Cam would be an upgrade. They re-signed Brett Hundley, but I would take Cam over him every day. You never count on a QB getting hurt but if Murray was to get injured what would they do? They now have some studs like DeAndre Hopkins and you need to make the playoffs. Their fans deserve that, and adding Cam Newton helps.

Seattle Seahawks – The Seahawks have not one back up behind Russell Wilson. You cannot make this up. This is the same as the Cardinals. The Seahawks are a good enough team to make it to the playoffs, so you better make sure you have a back-up. They have never needed one with Russell but that offensive line is suspect and God forbid if an injury happens he has no help.

New York Giants – The Giants can use a two quarterback system. Yes, they have Daniel Jones, but you do not want your franchise QB getting banged up on the goaline when you can sign Cam Newton and anytime you get around the goaline, play Cam. This makes sense and Dave Gettleman is in New York. Just a wild hunch here.
